DCAS Indoor Championships

On Sun 25th Feb, 5 of our archers headed to the YMCA Plymouth to compete in a range of different bow-styles for the WA18m indoor County Championships; these were: Compound, Recurve and Bare-bow. It was an exciting day with tough competition, some athletes were defending their hard-won titles and others were dipping their toes in the water. That was the case for Collette, pictured here, who tried really hard and managed to pip 3-time-county champ Wendy Broom to the post. Collette was shooting her BowTech Carbon Rose and was shooting alongside other compound archers who she says were very friendly and helpful. It was her first time at this competition and is delighted with her victory. The award was given at the Engine House church after the event as she couldn’t be there in person to receive the award.
