We longer have the hump !
Thanks to a huge amount of very hard work the infamous “hump” halfway along the shooting line, that has plagued many an archer over the years, has gone.
As a club we can only thank everyone (but especially Eddy and Paul, who have been working on this nearly all day, everyday, for the past week) who came to help out a such short notice and pulled off such an impressive achievement.
(We also took the opportunity to clear the banks along the sides of both fields, and to install underground ducting through which cabling can be run for “traffic-light” system cabling at future tournaments. So quite a busy week, overall !!)
Here are some before, during and after photos….

Work begins (Paul had already been working on this for a few hours by himself before help arrived; Fri 18th September 2015)

Turf being re-laid – the cut mark in the bank at the back of the field show just how much material we have removed (Fri 25th September 2015)

The end result – anyone who has visited the field, especially those who have been unfortunate enough to have been assigned a target on “the hump” in the past, will notice the difference immediately (Fri 25th September 2015)

Team Photo – just a handful of the many volunteers who have helped out over the past week (Fri 25th September 2015).
