Eddie and Wendy Wheeler.

Eddy and Wendy Wheeler have been in archery for more than 40 years, being popular and hard working, giving back much to the sport they love.

Having started their archery at Redruth Archers, they restarted The City of Truro Bowmen and successfully ran it for many years.  During this time they twinned the club with Truro in Canada, visiting and shooting with them.  They introduced the Canadian 1200 round into their annual shoot, having badges produced for the various scores.  This became one of the most popular shoots in the county, together with their clout shoot.

Wendy was a member of the DCAS County team several times, shooting compound.

Both Eddy and Wendy became enthusiastic coaches, passing on their expertise and extensive knowledge to many, many archers.  They also ran coach training course, and leaders courses.  They ran the County Coaching Squad for several years, and Wendy was DCAS County Coaching Organiser.

They helped archers with all aspects of successfully setting up new clubs in the county.

Wendy became a County Judge and was also a very accomplished Tournament Organiser, both at club and county level.
